Italian Balsamic Burger with Mozzarella cheese

• Step 1.

Mix the ground beef in a bowl with the garlic, onion, egg, breadcrumbs and parsley and the Balsamic Vinegar. Mix thoroughly – using your hands is best. Press the mixture into burger shapes and season on both sides.

• Step 2.

Pop your burgers on the barbecue or in a hot, non-stick frying pan with a little oil. Cook for 5 – 6 minutes on each side for medium and 8 – 9 minutes on each side for well done.

• Step 3.

While the burger is cooking, lightly toast the buns and cook the bacon until crispy, then set aside.

• Step 4.

Combine the mayonnaise and Balsamic Vinegar and season with salt and pepper to taste. Whisk together to create the Balsamic mayo.

• Step 5.

Time to layer the burger! Start with the buns then add the Balsamic mayo on the bottom, followed by the lettuce and tomato. Then, layer on the patties, mozzarella cheese and top with the crispy bacon and bun. Serve with salad, coleslaw or potato wedges and enjoy!
